Spooks

Happy Halloween from the Hawkeyes, fairly scary! A 40 pound spider!

And the spooks on the steps.
The boys with their pumpkin of choice!

Comic Books

Monkey business indeed! Most mornings after I have told Camlyn to go get dressed for school, this is where I will find him. Legs crossed, head propped up on a pillow looking at a comic book. Today he is there on mommies orders after having a 103 degree fever last night. What more could a boy want? Gatorade to keep him hydrated, comic books, his cards, and beasies... Oh, and a mommy hovering around

Book Report

Another day with no school! Luckily we had a couple of friends around today to keep my boys busy. While I was cleaning up lunch today, Kekoa and Caeden were reading a dinosaur book. They ran back into the kitchen to get art supplies and then to show me the pictures they drew. Not long later they returned to tell me the dinosaur show was ready. So here it is in all its glory is their first book report and presentation!

Weekend Visitor

We had a special visitor come home with Caeden for the weekend. Everyone, meet Mickey.
He really was not much work at all. As you can tell Caeden took good care of him. And by the way, since when do I have a 10 year-old?

All packed up and ready to go back to class. It was nice having you Mickey!

Takin' It Hard

This is what four shots will do to you. I can safely say that the 4 year-old check-up is the worst ever. Not only do they make Mommy part of the crime, they double team and do two at a time. One nurse on both sides. With Caeden I was just glad to get out of there in one piece. Camlyn on the other hand broke my heart in pieces.
Something else we walked out of the doctor's office with was an appointment to see the eye doctor. There is a possibility that he has astigmatism. I guess we will find out in Feb. In the mean time his vision is 20/30, which is perfect for a kid. In the mean time I will contemplate ways to keep glasses on a kid that spends half his time upside down!

We Finally Have It!!

Once upon a time there was a little story called Franky the Brave Fireman. There were also a little boy and a little girl that listened to it over and over. Not so long ago there was a Franky the Brave Fireman in this house. Now my two little boys can listen to it over and over as well. Thank you soooo much for posting this on you tube!!! We have already watched it three times since we found it this morning. Enjoy!
