Cowboy in Training

Camlyn has always been a bit afraid to go for more than a saunter around the ring, but with Caeden on there showing him the ropes, he is ready to give it a try!

Cars for Lunch

For lunch today we had chicken noodle soup with "Cars" noodles. As you can tell this was cause for great excitement as they showed each other every bite and debated which noodle was who. Little did they know that there were princess noodles mixed in that we bought on accident. They just added to the challenge of figuring out who they were!

First Homework

Warning, this post may be upsetting to Grandparents.
Around here we are deep in the realm of me-too land.

Caeden came home today with his first homework, coloring a life size version of himself. Camlyn immediately decided he needed to color it too. Since we had no paper of this size I tried improvise with what I thought was the next best thing...

Tracing his feet and mine on paper that we had. Caeden's helpful comments, "Mommy, your feet are huge!" Fun, right?Wrong!

What Camlyn thought I meant by coloring his feet!

Good thing big brother understood what he wanted, just to lie down on it. Disaster averted, good job Caeden! It's OK Camlyn!

Hard to believe that this was only about a year ago! My little boy has grown up since then. Look at those pudgy little cheeks! Some of you never got to see him play. Here he is with fairly good form.

Caps For Sale

The things Mommies miss out on when they run to the store. Good thing Daddy was there with the camera. Makes me want to find that book, Caps For Sale...

For lunch today we went to our local Mexican restaurant. You know the kind that they play polka music and you come away smelling like b.o, but the food is good right? Camlyn stops mid bite, turns his head to one side, and I guess he was listening to the music. He turns to me and asks, "Pokey-Jeese music?" Translation, Portuguese. He must be starting to get the language thing too.

Cookies!!

Tonight for after supper, I had made cookies. Once Camlyn discovered this, he was not interested in anything else. When I asked if anyone wanted more, Camlyn promptly chimed in, "I would like a cookie!" Every few minutes or so he would remind us that, "There are cookies over there." He spent the entire meal looking back over his shoulder at the cookies and not eating his supper. So when everyone was done but him, and everyone was tired of waiting for Camlyn to eat, I sent Caeden to get three cookies, one for him, one for daddy and one for me. When he saw that he wasn't going to get a cookie, he broke down and took a few bites of supper. Then we broke down and let him have his COOKIE.
Hope it was as good as he was hoping it was going to be.
