Puppies

My dear mother once had a dog that when told to go get itself tied up would do just that. Our resident puppy tied itself up the other morning and played nicely that way all day. Can you imagine the trouble I would be in if I had tied him up? Now what about telling him to go get tied up? I'm just wondering.

Ooops

In the previous posts I was trying to save time and space on here. In doing so I realized I forgot some important people! So now Shelly you get your very own post. Some of you may remember Shelly. She lived around these parts for awhile and was also a bridesmaid. It was good to see her again and also to meet her husband Rick.

The Brown Bears

If I haven't already given away our location, this might do it. The other day RAGBRAI came through our little burgh. The boys and I walked up for breakfast and to watch, "the bike show." We were planning on going to the coffee shop in town. It had already closed. Kind of sad, this is the second coffee shop not to make it in the 6 years that we have lived here. Yet, the town can support 4 or 5 different pizza places?

Have you heard of the new team in town? Lately, I have started to call them the brown bears.

The Wedding

Chris and Jan and Chris's mom and Grandma

The W's and Jodi and Kurt

Elizabeth and Meghan, the beautiful flower girls.

Shannon and Drew, the flower girls mommy and brother.

Sitting in the back so her leg could be elevated.

The view from her parent's place. If you look close you can see Mt. Rainer.

A brief detour over the Rockies.

The boys with their horses on the way home. A picture just as stubborn as the real deal, it refuses to be turned.

Here Comes the Bride

Oops, not yet. That is the bride to be folks.

Friday was spent practising.

The rehearsal supper was held in Portland at a wonderful little restaurant. Yes, it was an authentic Moroccan restaurant.

We sat at these little tables on cushions on the floor. Everything was served without utensils. Most of the dishes were eaten with our fingers, some of them came with bread to use as a scoop.

Some of us rated three cushions.

So, since this was an authentic Moroccan restaurant, it came with a little entertainment. Seems like someone had the perfect, or depending on who you ask really bad timing. Loud music had just started, everyone was looking expectantly at the door, and who should appear, but Moises!

Looks like the dancer didn't find it as funny as we all did, but she got her revenge. With the mood ruined, this was the only guy that was very enthralled with the dancing. He couldn't take his eyes off of her! Notice the mouth hanging open.

Chasing after her next victim. The waiter in the back was not the brightest nut that has ever fallen from a tree. Instead of being presented with our iced tea *smile*, which it was quite obviously tea with ice in it. It came out this way, "Well, um, we were out of iced tea, so, I uh, got some of the hot and uhhhh, put some ice in it, uhmmmmm. Here!"

Smile!

To be continued...

Home Again, Home Again

Whew, where to start. Well, this is the wonderful view on the way in. I think it was decided that it was Mt. Hood. So for a bit of background my poor dear Arian had some blood clots and she was in the hospital when we flew in on Thursday. This was a good opportunity for us to meet some of her other crazy friends. John and Sheila picked us up along all those down there ignoring me. Starting on the other side of Moises, Brett, Jacob, Logan, and Brian.

Arian got out of the hospital on Friday, but not in time to join us beautifying our hands. Here are a few that you might recognize, just a portion of those that were there.

Arian got her own little party before the rehearsal.

Still Around

Although not for long. Sorry for the disappearance. Somehow the voices in my head are missing. You know, the ones that run the constant blogging commentary in my head. So, due to technical details the previous post will be completed at a later date. After all some important things happened while we were camping! As for the not long part, yes it is time. We are leaving for Arian's wedding on Thursday. Yes, the camera is still relatively empty and it is charging as we speak. So, unless I have access to a computer, I will post again on Mon?
